December Alcohol Compliance Check

On December 6, 2016, the Sioux Falls Police Department conducted an alcohol compliance check of 21 off-sale businesses in the southwest area of Sioux Falls. Twenty of the businesses passed the check and one failed.

Aldi Foods at 2808 South Louise Avenue sold alcohol to a person under 21 years of age.

The clerk was issued a summons to court for furnishing alcohol to a person 18–20 years old. Businesses that sell alcohol to persons under 21 years of age during compliance checks face fines and the potential suspension or loss of their alcohol license.

In an effort to protect the young people of our community, the Sioux Falls Police Department will continue to conduct random alcohol compliance checks.
