Must be a resident and registered voter of Sioux Falls.

Summary of Duties

The commission may deliver a report to the city election authorities framing and proposing amendments to the Sioux Falls Home Rule Charter. The commission holds at least one public meeting each calendar year for the purpose of receiving recommendations from the public regarding revisions to the charter and to take action upon any matters before the commission relating to proposed charter revisions.

Duties

The Charter Revision Commission's duties are set forth in Sec. 32.002 of the Code of Ordinances of Sioux Falls, SD:

§ 32.002 DUTIES; PUBLIC MEETINGS.
The commission may deliver a report to the city election authorities framing and proposing amendments to the city home rule charter that is approved by at least four commission members. The commission shall hold at least one public meeting each calendar year for the purpose of receiving recommendations from the public regarding revisions to the charter and to take action upon any matters before the commission relating to proposed charter revisions.
