Permit Technician Job Opportunities

Rate: $14.00 per hour

The City of Sioux Falls Planning and Development Services Department is accepting applications for a part-time Permit Technician. This is a part-time, non-benefitted position involving up to 28 hours per week between the hours of 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday. The Permit Technician will be responsible for providing clerical and technical support for the office and supporting the customer service counter at City Center. Duties include, but are not limited to, answering questions and inquiries regarding departmental policies and procedures, directing citizens to the appropriate departmental personnel, independently operate and utilize a variety of software technology, including Microsoft products and specialized software. Qualified candidates should have relevant education and/or administrative support experience and be able to provide excellent customer service in person, on the phone, and through electronic communications. Applicants should be detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects. EOE.
