Electronics Recycling
Electronics are banned from the landfill. Discarded electronics cannot be dumped together with ordinary household trash or dumped into the landfill. They must be recycled.
More Convenient Electronics Recycling.
We no longer hold MONTHLY electronics recycling events; Instead, we offer an even more convenient service for residents.
Beginning, Friday, May 1, 2009, the City of Sioux Falls is implementing a free electronics recycling program year-round at the household hazardous waste facility. Residents can drop-off electronics at the household hazardous waste facility (1015 E. Chambers St – Just North of John Morrell’s and just off of Cliff Avenue) during normal hours of operation.
- Tuesday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Saturday 8 a.m. - Noon

Participation
Thank you for participating in the Sioux Falls recycling programs. Recycling prolongs the life of the landfill and ultimately saves you money. In addition, since electronics often contain heavy metals and other toxic chemicals, recycling electronics protects both you and the environment.
