Starting July 1, 2008, the Police Department will partner with TRACView, an internet-based application developed to help law enforcement agencies and insurance companies manage and access traffic accident reports online.

This new system will allow people to print accident reports 24 hours a day from any location with internet access. The reports are in a PDF format which makes them easy to view, save, print, and email.

To download an Accident Report using TRACView, there is an $11 fee to obtain a copy. The fee is comprised of a $5 TRACView convenience fee and a $6 fee as required by Sioux Falls Ordinance for a copy of an accident report.

To obtain a copy of an accident report in person, go to the Law Enforcement Center and pay the $6 fee to receive that report.
