As Sioux Falls continues to grow, the additional traffic generated by the growth will make it more important to develop safe and attractive pedestrian facilities. Therefore, the City of Sioux Falls has initiated a Pedestrian Plan to guide future pedestrian activities and construction. The purpose of the Pedestrian Plan is to:

Find methods to create a safe, accommodating, and attractive atmosphere for all pedestrians.

Encourage and educate the public to the importance of walking and mobility
A Pedestrian Committee is meeting during this year to formulate the plan. The minutes and the most recent draft plan from the most recent meetings are listed under Highlights on the left navigation menu.
