Title: Sioux Falls Human Relations Commission’s Humanitarian Award

The Sioux Falls Human Relations Commission has named three finalists for the third annual Humanitarian Award.

The Human Relations Commission received 14 nominations for this year’s award. Judging by how the nominees demonstrate a spirit of humanitarianism, how it relates to cultural diversity, the impact their actions have had on the community, and how much time is spent on these efforts outside the focus of their employment, Laura Borman, Theresa Kashale, and Barbara Sogn-Frank were selected as finalists.

The recipient will be announced at the Humanitarian Award Reception Program to be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at 7 p.m. at the Orpheum Theater, 315 North Phillips Avenue. Everyone is invited to attend the program recognizing the efforts of these individuals and awarding this year’s recipient. The program will also include a native Chilean dance and spoken word performances by the Lost Artists.
