Title: Crime of the Week: Armed Robbery

The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the public’s help finding those responsible for the robbery of a young adult female that occurred on June 11 at about 1 p.m. in the 400 block of South Fourth Avenue. The female was walking down the stairwell of her apartment building when a male suspect attempted to take her purse. The original attempt failed, so the suspect threatened the victim with a knife. While fleeing with the victim’s wallet, the victim was shoved away, causing minor injuries. The suspect is described as a male in his twenties, about 5′11″, 185 lbs, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, a bandana, and white cloth gloves.
