The week of October 4–10, 2009, has been designated as National Fire Prevention Week. On Sunday, October 4, 2009, we will conduct our 14th Annual Fallen Firefighter Memorial Service, which will be held at the First Assembly of God Church, located at 6300 West 41st Street in Sioux Falls.

The service will start at 7 p.m., and will run for about 35 to 45 minutes. We will be reading the names of the firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty across the nation in 2008, as well as remembering the firefighters locally who died last year.

This service is open to the public as we gather to remember those who have given so much to protect the lives of others.
