Title: Falls Community Health Expands Services

Falls Community Health has received $286,926 to increase dental services for the underserved in the community, specifically children, the homeless, and persons with emergency dental needs during this economic downturn.

A third dentist, Dr. Jeremy Johnson, will be hired during this two-year period of time to join Dr. Troy Keyes and Dr. Dale Johnson to provide dentistry to meet a growing demand for dental care in the community.

Falls Community Health was one of 1,128 health centers that received increased funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which released a total of $338 million nationwide to expand services offered at the nation's community health centers. The money was made available by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and comes as more Americans join the ranks of the uninsured.

Falls Community Health provides medical, dental, and mental health services to over 11,000 patients in the community, with a mission to be an open door to quality medical and dental services by removing barriers, especially financial, that exist for working families without health insurance or other resources to meet their health care needs.
