Beginning on Monday, May 19, 2008, construction of 57th Street from Southeastern Avenue to Bahnson Avenue will begin. Work will include grading, water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, paving, and restoration.

Fifty-seventh Street will be closed from Southeastern Avenue to Bahnson Avenue. Fifty-seventh Street from Bahnson Avenue to Sycamore Avenue continues to be closed for construction. Traffic will be detoured to 41st Street.

The road is anticipated to be opened to traffic in November 2008, with full completion in 2009. The prime contractor for this project is T&R Construction of Sioux Falls.
