Sioux Falls residents are encouraged to participate in the City’s new plumbing retrofit rebate program starting June 5, 2008.

The program will reimburse residents and businesses that purchase programmable timers for their irrigation system as follows:

• Residential Users - $80.00 Maximum Reimbursement
• Residential Users - $65.00 (second timer) Maximum Reimbursement
• Nonresidential Users - $80.00 Maximum Reimbursement
• Nonresidential Users - $65.00 (second timer) Maximum Reimbursement

Also effective June 5, businesses will become eligible for a $125.00 rebate from the City for purchasing a water conserving washing machine with an environmental protection agency energy star program compliance rating and an established water factor number below 10 from a Sioux Falls retailer. This is the same offer currently extended to all residential water users.

Receipts for devices purchased prior to the effective date of the ordinance will not be eligible to receive a reimbursement.
