Beginning on Monday, May 19, 2008, the first phase of 26th Street construction from Silver Creek Circle to Valley View Road will begin. Work will include water main upgrades, sump pump collector pipe installation, storm sewer upgrades, and complete surface reconstruction with widening. This closure is scheduled to take approximately six weeks.

The second phase of construction extends from Valley View Road to Marion Road and will begin immediately after the first phase has been completed. A news release will be issued prior to subsequent closures.

The project is anticipated to be completed and open to traffic by August 8, 2008. During construction, motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.
The prime contractor for this project is Double H Paving of Tea, SD.
