Title: East 41st Street Parking to be Removed and Bicycle Lane to be Added

The City of Sioux Falls will be adding a bicycle lane on both sides of East 41st Street from Southeastern Avenue to the Harmodon Park entrance - 41st Street has been recently asphalt-resurfaced from Bahnson Avenue to SD Hwy 11. Temporary raised pavement markers will be placed as a part of a resurfacing project on East 41st Street.

In the next month, permanent lane striping will be completed including a five-foot dedicated bicycle lane on both sides of 41st Street. To facilitate adding the bicycle lanes, on-street parking will be removed on both sides of East 41st Street between Southeastern Avenue and Sycamore Avenue.

In addition, 41st Street from Sycamore Avenue to SD Hwy 11 will be changed from a two-lane section with a continuous turn lane to a two-lane section with a five-foot dedicated bike lane on both sides of 41st Street.

These changes are being implemented as recommended in the City of Sioux Falls Bicycle Plan.
