Starting at 6:30 AM, Wednesday, July 16, 2008, WEATHER PERMITTING, the Street Department will have crews working in various locations throughout the City. Specific locations and types of work are as follows:

Sweeping Crews

  • District 57: bordered by I-229 & Bahnson Avenue between 10th Street and 26th Street
  • District 58: bordered by Bahnson Avenue & Sycamore Avenue between 10th Street & 26th Street
  • District 20: bordered by Western Avenue & Weber Avenue between Russell Street & 10th Street
  • District 30: bordered by Marion Road & the River between I-90 & Madison Street

SPECIAL SWEEPING NOTICE – DOWNTOWN AREA TO BEGIN THURSDAY AT 12:01 a.m.

  • District 10: bordered by Minnesota Avenue & Weber Avenue between 4th Street & 14th Street

Paving Crew

  • Williams Avenue from 37th Street to 39th Street
  • Lincoln Avenue from 37th Street to 41st Street
  • Elmwood Avenue from 37th Street to 41st Street

Milling Crew

  • Jefferson Avenue from 37th Street to 41st Street
  • 39th Street from Kiwanis to Jefferson
  • Various locations in an area bordered by 26th Street & 33rd Street from 4th Avenue East to Cemetary

Manhole Crew

  • Holly Avenue from 37th Street to 41st Street
  • Lyndale Avenue from 37th Street to 39th Street

Street Maintenance information is also available by calling the Sioux Falls Street Division at 367-8255 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday, or calling the Street Maintenance Hotline at 367-8259.
