The study group was established by the Public Transit Advisory Board to develop recommendations to best utilize the funding available for public transportation, both paratransit and fixed route services, in the most efficient and effective manner to provide services to the maximum number of people, based on each person’s functional abilities.
Study Group Issues:
- Increasing demand for fixed route bus service to areas of the community currently served with infrequent service or not served at all;
- Paratransit eligibility process and service provisions;
- Available funding sources for public transportation.
The study group will work to obtain community consensus on the future direction of public transportation services.
