Dear Friend of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA),

Several disability related organizations are working together to celebrate the eighteenth year of the signing of the ADA. This celebration is open to the public and will be held on Saturday, July 26th, 2008 at Sertoma Park from Noon to 4pm.

As part of the celebration we’d like to take the opportunity to acknowledge an individual and a business who demonstrates a commitment of breaking down barriers to people with disabilities by presenting them with an award of recognition. This year an individual and a business will be recognized. Past winners have been the City of Sioux Falls, the Sioux Valley Wellness Center, the Washington Pavilion and Wells Fargo Financial Bank.

We respectfully request that you complete and return the enclosed nomination form. If you are aware of an individual and/or business that has really put their best effort into including people with disabilities in our community, then they deserve a chance to be recognized.

Help us say “thanks” to those who demonstrate, by their actions, that they believe in the spirit of the ADA.
