NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The City of Sioux Falls, SD, requests formal bids for the Sioux Falls Regional Sanitary Landfill— Pipeline Compressor Station Building Project.

The project consists of construction of a 2,240 square foot compressor station building located at the Sioux Falls Regional Sanitary Landfill. The building includes three rooms, each with separate access from the exterior of the building for the compressor equipment, electrical equipment, and storage. The electrical and storage rooms will be sealed from the compressor equipment room, which is classified as a Class 1 Division 2 environment.

The project includes a new electrical service, building electrical, inlet and outlet piping for the compressor equipment, and miscellaneous site work. The new electrical service consists of installing a concrete pad for a 1,000 kVA pad-mount transformer (installed by Sioux Valley Electric) and electric meter enclosure to be mounted on the exterior of the building. Building electric will include interior and exterior lighting, outlets, 480V MCC load center to house equipment supplier-furnished VFDs and motor contactor, and installation of conduits for compressor equipment and chiller equipment. Inlet piping will be from the existing landfill gas flare skid to the City-procured compressor equipment (located inside the building) and outlet piping will be from the compressor equipment to the end of the 12" HDPE pipeline (installed by others). Contractor is responsible for physical connections to the flare skid and pipeline.

All materials required for a complete project as specified and shown on the drawings will be furnished by the Contractor, except as noted above. Physical piping connections and electrical wiring and terminations to the compressor equipment will be by the equipment supplier.

Sealed bids shall be received by Purchasing, 3rd Floor, City Hall, 224 W. Ninth St., P.O. Box 7402, Sioux Falls, SD 57117-7402, not later than 2 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2008. Bids shall be publicly opened and read in City Hall, 1st Floor, at 2:15 p.m.
