I-Code Adoption

Building Services has adopted the 2006 Editions of the following I-Codes:

• 2006 International Building Code (IBC)
  • IBC Ordinance Submittal and Synopsis 
  • IBC Code Ordinance
    
    
• 2006 International Existing Building Code (IExBC)
  • IExBC Ordinance Submittal and Synopsis 
  • IExBC Code Ordinance
    
    
• 2006 International Residential Code (IRC)
  • IRC Ordinance Submittal and Synopsis 
  • IRC Code Ordinance
    
    
• 2006 International Mechanical Code (IMC) and International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC)
  • IFGC Ordinance Submittal and Synopsis 
  • IFGC Code Ordinance
    
    

  The I-Codes are published in a three year code cycle and are promulgated and published by the International Code Council (ICC). These national model codes provide and establishes minimum standards and regulations for commercial and residential building systems to safeguard the public health and safety in the built environment.

  The provisions of the above referenced I-Codes will be applied to permits issued on June 1, 2007 and thereafter.
