Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 15, Appendix B) the legal device used for implementing the city’s land use of buildings and land for trade, industry, residence or other purposes by controlling the height, bulk, open spaces, and population density.

Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance (Appendix D) regulates and restricts uses and property in the floodplain by requiring that buildings be constructed to resist flood damage and to guide future development away from flood hazard areas. The City has participated in the National Flood Insurance Program as a regular member since 1979.

Guidelines for Manufactured Homes regulates and controls the design, construction and quality of materials for foundation systems and building services equipment connections which are necessary for the permanent installation of manufactured homes on privately owned (non-rental) lots.
